OK, SoCal is known to be hot and dry most of the year, which wrecks havoc on our dirt and vegetation. So when most people think about riding out here, they visualize hot and dusty conditions with hard pack soil. This might be true from about late May through October, but when it rains, SoCal become a paradise just like back east or up north in the summer and spring. But when those places are under snow or 20 degrees, we are usually in at the least 50 degrees or even up to 85 during January.
